Oh, how I loved this post! I'm writing this with tears running down my face. You have a special talent for opening emotional doors and passing on your wisdom to others. I wish I could spend just five minutes beneath that magic blanket, but you have provided one with your words. Thank you, Siobhan, and deepest condolences on the loss of both Charlie and Max.

Thinking of you, let me know if you're in uk and want to meet up. I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin, and I remember when you lost Max. In my experience, when you lose a beautiful soul, whether human or otherwise, you don't 'get over' it, you just somehow learn to live with the loss, remember the good times and appreciate those in your life now.

Message me if you want to talk, I'm always here for you xx

Ahh, you got me. Not for the first time of course and such a wonderful story, I struggled to get to the end for the tears. I knew I must though in order to know the ‘moral of the story’ and leave a smile on my face. Sorry for your loss but sounds like Charles’s legacy lives on and strong x

So sorry for the loss of a very special person, whom you were blessed to have known since childhood, as a cousin. As we age and lose people (in more ways than death) and pets, our hearts become filled with the love that they gave us while we were together. We call on each of them as needed to bolster us or remind us that we are worthy.

My heart dog, Sharkey, who died two years ago has a special place in my heart — and my garden. Thanks for sharing your loss with us. May you feel the peace of the magic blanket as your heart heals.

My deepest condolences on the loss of your cousin, he sounds quite a guy to have on your team.

And Max of course, I resonate so very strongly with his story, and the magic blanket, wow. Yoga is so very cathartic, and your instructor so empathic. I'll share this
